To book training with a member of our Training Team, please email support@practiceevolve.com.au.
We would be grateful if you could please provide us with the following information when requesting a training session:
- the type of training required
- the number of attendees required to be trained; and
- a selection of dates that could work for you.
Due to high demand, please provide at least:
- 7 days' notice for online training; and
- 21 days' notice for onsite training sessions.
Please also note the following:
- the training services specified in this section are chargeable services, and are charged at hourly rates for training online, or a flat daily rate (including travel and other sundries) for training onsite at your firm; and
- where there is a balance of prepaid training hours for your company, we will provide you with a quote for the remaining hours required for training.

Training for new starters
Getting Started Training for New Staff
Online training for up to 3 people
Getting started training for solicitors | Duration: 2 hours | Online
Getting Started training provides solicitors with the knowledge required to undertake their day to day tasks in PE. This training does not include creating clients and matters, or invoicing.
Getting started training for administrators | Duration: 2 hours | Online
Getting Started training provides administrators/support staff with the knowledge required to undertake their day to day tasks in PE. This training does not include timesheets.
Getting started training (full program) | Duration: 3 hours | Online
Getting started training provides fee earners and/or administrators with the knowledge required to undertake their day to day tasks in PE.
Onsite training for 4 or more people
Group training | Duration: 1 day | Online
Group Training is designed to provide users with a level of knowledge that will allow them to effectively carry out their daily responsibilities. We strongly recommend that all staff attend the morning session (both fee earners and support staff). Support staff are required to attend all day.

Advanced Training for Fee Earners & Support Staff
Follow up training | Duration: 1 day | Onsite
Follow up training is designed to introduce staff to the advanced document management features in PE.
The morning session includes topics relevant for both fee earners and administrative staff. The recap of topics covered in getting started training provides staff with an opportunity to ask questions or raise any concerns regarding your overall experience in using PE, so far.
The afternoon session is designed to provide administrators with training on the advanced document management tools available within PE, and advice on how these features can be used to adapt or implement internal processes.

Bookkeeper Training for Bookkeepers and Accounting Staff
New Bookkeepers Training Program
Bookkeeper Training Part 1 | Duration: 3 hours | Online Training
Bookkeeper 1 will provide you with an introduction to the interface of PE including the navigation of the Practice Explorer. You will be given a general overview of the client and matter cards from a bookkeeping perspective. The set-up of payment requisitions and disbursements on the matter card is covered in detail. You will be instructed on how to set up suppliers and process office transactions such as receipts, payments and purchases. You will be given an overview of office reports, viewing the office journal and recording journal entries. The last part of the training covers time recording.
Bookkeeper Training Part 2 | Duration: 3 hours | Online Training
Bookkeeper 2 covers the creation and management of client invoices on the matter card and across multiple matters simultaneously. The process of recording trust transactions will be demonstrated. This includes the recording of receipts and payments, trust to office and office to trust transfers, matter to matter transfers as well as the navigation of the trust ledgers. You will be shown how to prepare deposit slips and cheque payments. You will also be shown how to set up CMA, Investment, and statutory deposit accounts with associated transactions. You will be shown how to generate debtors and trust statements. A demonstration is provided on the process of performing bank reconciliations on the office and trust bank accounts. You will be introduced to the trust and performance reports and shown how to set up fee earner budgets and fee targets.
Advanced Bookkeeper Training
Follow-up Bookkeeper Training | Duration: 1 day | Onsite
Follow Up Bookkeeper Training is designed to introduce staff to the advanced accounting features in PE.
The afternoon session is designed to provide administrators with training on the advanced document management and reporting tools available within PE, and how these features can be used to adapt or implement internal processes, if required.
Document tagging for template administrators
Document Tagging Training for Template Administrators
Introduction to tagging | Online | Duration: 1.5 hours
Introduction to tagging is an online training session targeted at staff who are tasked with coding documents in your firm. The main objective of the training is to provide you with an overview of clients and matter fields, the library, and how to create a document using simple tags.
Advanced Tagging Workshop | Onsite | Duration: 1 day
The Advanced Tagging Workshop is a full-day training session with the staff who are tasked with coding documents in your firm. The main objective of the workshop is to provide your template administrators with the information required to code documents in PE.
We will work with your staff to create a core set of blank letters and recommend that you have an electronic copy of some documents you expect to be very difficult to work on with you at the workshop.
Training for Workflow Administrators
Workflow Training for Workflow Administrators
Introduction to Workflow | Duration: 1 hour | Online training
The introduction to workflow is conducted online with the staff who are tasked with creating workflows in your firm. The main objective of the training is to provide you with an overview and information on the types of features available within the workflow system so that you can plan out draft workflows in preparation for the Advanced Workflows Workshop.
Advanced Workflow Workshop | Duration: 1 day | Onsite training
Advanced Workflow Training is a full-day workshop, at your office, with the members of your staff who are tasked with creating workflows.
The purpose of the training is to provide your workflow administrators with the information required to build workflows in PE. Prior to the training, please prepare draft workflows on paper, or using flow diagram software so that we can build the workflows in PE in your workshop
